Abstract:

Amnesty International's flagship publication.  This annual report surveys human rights violations, including the treatment of asylum seekers and refugees, in over 150 countries around the world.  Unfortunately, the most recent re-organization of the Amnesty International web site has made it difficult to locate the complete texts of these reports.  While the current edition is available at a separate URL in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian and Arabic, only portions of earlier reports can be retrieved through the site's search engine (generally, the introductory material only).  Texts as of the 2000 report can be retrieved through the Internet Archive.  Otherwise, individual country chapters dating back to 1994 can be located easily through Refworld (browse by "publisher").
