This guide represents the first survey of the reference literature produced in the forced migration field.  Although now somewhat dated, it remains a useful tool for undertaking historical research and for identifying some of the key texts that lay the foundation for the formal study of refugees and other forced migrants.  Resources are organized by type and by country, if applicable.  Bibliographic entriesmany of which are annotatedare included for reference materials (manuals and bibliographies) and research publications (periodicals, monographs, and dissertations).  Contact information is provided for libraries, publishers, research and teaching centres, and other relevant organizations.  Over 1100 resources are listed.
