Abstract:

The maps and graphics in this resource provide a visual representation of trends in armed conflict since the end of the Cold War.  The book also looks at the relationships between war and socio-economic development.  It begins with a definition of human security, then reviews the various types of conflicts, deaths caused by these conflicts, human rights violations, and the causes of both war and peace.  The atlas is available in English, French and Spanish.
