Abstract:

A flagship publication of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Five editions of this report have been published since 1993.  The first volume focused on protection, the second on solutions, the third on humanitarianism, the fourth on the history of forced displacement during the second half of the 20th century, and the fifth on human displacement in the new millennium. Users can access the texts on a chapter-by-chapter basis. The texts are generally interspersed with maps, photos, and figures, and are accompanied by statistical annexes. The 2000 edition is also available in French, Italian, Russian, Arabic, German, and Spanish.
