Abstract:

This resource begins with an historical overview of Palestinian displacement, provides facts and figures about current Palestinian refugees/IDPs and their status, reviews assistance and protection measures, and concludes with a discussion of attempts to find durable solutions for this longstanding displacement crisis. A glossary, statistical tables, and maps are included. Four reports have been published, the first covering 2001, the second covering 2002, the third covering 2004-2005, and the fourth covering 2006-2007.  The second edition is also available in Arabic.  All texts are available via the Publications section of the web site.
