Abstract:

 

The aim of this article is to rebut arguments made and conclusions drawn in the existing literature concerning the relationship between displacement and environmental degradation.  The author reviews the current state of knowledge about the impact of refugees on the environment to identify and critique commonly held "scientific truths."
