Abstract:
This report summarizes the discussions that took place during the eighth meeting of the International Association for the Study of Forced Migration (IASFM) (formerly known as International Research and Advisory Panel conferences). The meeting was held in Thailand. The conference focused on global development, human rights and security as they relate to displacement, and the rapporteur organizes her summary around these themes accordingly. A final section reviews cross-cutting issues that arose during the meeting, including IDPs, gender issues, integration, and psycho-social aspects of forced migration.
