Nelson, Sue, Jeannine Guthrie, and Pamela Sumner Coffey. 2004. Literature Review and Analysis Related to Human Trafficking in Post-Conflict Situations. Washington, DC: U.S. Agency for International Development.
Abstract:
As noted in the introduction, the "purpose of the review was to identify, annotate, and synthesize research studies, projects, and interventions related to trafficking in post-conflict situations in order to serve as a tool for future USAID planning" (p. 1). The discussion is broken down by the focus of the literature retrieved: trafficking in child soldiers and women associated with fighting forces; displacement and human trafficking; post-conflict human trafficking and HIV/AIDS; peacekeeping and human trafficking in the post-conflict period; and human trafficking in the immediate post-conflict period. The bulk of the report is taken up with an annotated bibliography, included as attachment 1. The 130-plus references are organized alphabetically by author under conflict- and trafficking-related sub-themes.
