Bibliographic information:

Fong, Janice. [2004]. Literature Review on Trafficking in West and East Africa. Bangkok: Global Alliance against Traffic in Women.

Abstract:

The author found limited literature on trafficking in Africa, particularly for East Africa.  She summarizes what materials she could find, and organizes her discussion by the patterns and causes of trafficking in the region, the legal framework for combating trafficking in Africa, prevention strategies, and assistance for trafficked persons.  Her final section provides brief trafficking profiles for Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.  Twenty-one references are listed.
