Abstract:

This literature review attempts to better understand the recovery and rehabilitation processes that trafficking victims undergo by focusing on the "types of shelter, protection, and support services provided by group residential rehabilitative facilities" (p. 1).  The paper begins with a typology of shelter facilities and the different needs they address.  It then examines the kinds of rehabilitation, recovery and reintegration services that shelters offer. The Annex includes an annotated bibliography of over 70 titles.
