Roundtable on the Demography of Forced Migration. Washington, DC: National Academies Press, 1998-2006.
Abstract:
The Roundtable on the Demography of Forced Migration was established by the National Academy of Sciences' Committee on Population in 1999. Its aim was to assess the state of knowledge regarding various demographic aspects of refugee situations in order to better assist policy makers and relief workers, and to promote further research and investigation in this field of study. The Roundtable commissioned a number of studies that focused particularly on health-related issues that arose during complex emergencies. The texts of 10 studies are posted on the National Academies Press web site and can be read online or downloaded at no cost.
