Abstract:

 

A flagship publication of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). Six editions of this report have been published since 1993; the most recent was published in 2012, six years after the last edition. The first volume focused on protection, the second on solutions, the third on humanitarianism, the fourth on the history of forced displacement during the second half of the 20th century, the fifth on human displacement in the new millennium, and the sixth on international solidarity. The first five texts are available online in full. The texts are generally interspersed with maps, photos, and figures, and are accompanied by statistical annexes.
