Abstract:

The authors sought to review literature relating to trauma and resilience among Bosnian Muslim refugee families.  They provide a detailed description of their search methodology, including sources and keywords used.  Studies retrieved tended to have a "pathology focus" rather than a "functioning focus."  The authors assess the design, methods, and theoretical bases of the studies, and conclude that resilience was not a primary focus for any of them.
