Abstract:
This annual publication analyzes statistical trends occurring in the populations of concern that UNHCR is mandated to assist, including refugees, asylum-seekers, returnees, stateless people, and some categories of internally displaced persons. Data are collected from governments, NGOs, and UNHCR offices, and are considered provisional, with finalized figures reported subsequently in the UNHCR Statistical Yearbook [see separate entry]. It is not clear exactly when UNHCR first began to issue this publication. However, editions as of 2003 are available on the agency's web site and can be accessed via the link below.
