International Humanitarian Studies Association (IHSA)

Abstract:

This association was established by the first World Conference on Humanitarian Studies, held in February 2009.  Its objective is to serve as a network of "people engaged in the study of humanitarian crises caused by natural disaster, conflict or political instability." Conferences are held every two years.  IHSA launched a book series in 2013 (see separate entry).
