Office of Women in Development and Chemonics International. 2009. Literature Review of Trafficking in Persons and Gender-based Violence.  Washington, DC: U.S. Agency for International Development.

Abstract:

This review set out to explore linkages between the root causes of gender-based violence and of trafficking in persons, but evidence was inconclusive that such a link exists.  Empirical research is needed to better understand the relationship.  While this report is called a literature review, it is presented as an annotated bibliography, with summaries of 51 sources.
