Bouteillet-Paquet, Daphné. 2011. Smuggling of Migrants: A Global Review and Annotated Bibliography of Recent Publications. Vienna: UN Office on Drugs and Crime.

Abstract:

Few analyses of the state of knowledge concerning the issue of migrant smuggling have been undertaken. This review attempts to fill that gap by surveying sources and research studies. Ten chapters cover concepts, methodologies, the scope of the problem, profiles of those smuggled and those who smuggle, networks, and the human and social costs.  An annotated bibliography is included as Annex 1.  Over 100 references are described.
