Abstract:

This study was undertaken as part of a larger project on the "Impact and Costs of Forced Displacement," a collaborative effort between the Refugee Studies Centre, PRIO, FAFO and the World Bank.  It reviews over 480 articles and reports from the past 40 years on the impact of displacement on both displaced and host populations. Part One introduces the scope of the study, and Part Two presents the literature review's findings.  Six appendices are included along with a complete bibliography.
