Alert [year]: Report on Conflicts, Human Rights and Peace-building. Barcelona: Escola de cultura de pau; Icaria editorial, 2002-. Annual.

Abstract:

This annual report summarizes the state of world conflicts, peace processes and humanitarian crises during the preceding year (i.e., the 2007 report covers events of 2006).  The discussion and analysis are framed around the following themes: armed conflicts, situations of tension and high-risk disputes, peace processes, post-war rehabilitation, humanitarian crises, disarmament, human rights/international humanitarian law, and gender aspects in peace-building.  (Earlier editions included development as a ninth theme.)  The conclusions examine overall trends, identifying positive and negative trends, and highlighting both successful and ineffective policy approaches. A country index is provided.  The report is available in both English and Spanish.  Texts of the 2002-2010 and 2013-2015 editions in English and all of the Spanish editions are available online.
