Blumör, Rüdiger, and Nora V. Buttlar. 2007. Annotated Bibliography on Education and Conflict. Paris: UNESCO.

Abstract:

This bibliography was prepared as a background document for the Education for All Global Monitoring Report 2008.  The entries begin after a brief introduction that provides a general assessment of the literature on this topic.  References are organized under the following headings: historical overview of education and conflict; the impact of conflict on education; profiles and location of children/youth affected by conflict (sub-divided geographically); the impact of education on conflict, both positive and negative; country strategies to deal with education in conflict; effective educational programmes; role of international agencies and NGOs.  Operational materials, bibliographies and web sites are also listed.
