Abstract:

This review set out to answer three questions:  "How does violent conflict adversely affect the health of people living through it? How do adverse health conditions affect conflict/security? And how can the delivery of health services play a role in reducing conflict?" (p. 7).  The report is organized around these questions, and includes an introduction, literature review, discussion and references for each section.  Mirroring the structure of the report, the Annex lists public health organizations and any of their publications that were deemed relevant to the study.
