Abstract:

The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office in London donated an audiovisual collection to The Refugee Council Archive at the University of East London (UEL) in 2005.  Although the collection has not yet been fully catalogued, items are available for circulation.  The collection is primarily composed of photographs and slides of refugee situations that occurred in different countries around the world.  Some thematic and historical photographs are also available.  Most date from the early 1980s, although some were taken even earlier.  Other resources include audio tapes, CD-ROMs, and video presentations.  An interim inventory list is available for consultation.
