Abstract:

 

Communicable diseases are the cause of most of the deaths that occur in complex emergencies.  This review looks at risk factors, epidemiological factors, and programs to prevent and control diseases.  The authors highlight areas for future research.  Their search methodology is described and keywords are provided.  A list of 76 references is included.
