One of the first reviews of the economic literature to focus on post-conflict reconstruction. Literature on the root causes of conflict and the subsequent impact on the economy is also examined. Economic research in this area has been limited. The author highlights recommendations from the literature for rebuilding wartorn economies and concludes with suggestions for future research. Over 110 references are listed.
