Abstract:

 

The Country Reports on Human Rights Practices are produced annually for the U.S. Congress. Individual profiles document the adherence of over 190 countries to internationally recognized human rights as set forth in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).  Refugee and displacement issues are factored into the information-gathering process.  The first reports were produced in 1977. They are available online from 1999 onwards.
