Bibliographic information:

Gozdziak, Elzbieta M., and Micah N. Bump. 2008. Data and Research on Human Trafficking: Bibliography of Research-Based Literature. Washington, DC: Institute for the Study of International Migration.

Abstract:

The aim of this bibliography was three-fold: to comprehensively compile research-based literature in the English language on human trafficking; to develop a taxonomy to organize the references; and to provide an overall assessment of the available research literature on this issue.  The report includes a description of the methodology used to search for relevant references, a summary of initial search results, a presentation of the taxonomy developed, an analysis of materials by their type (journal articles, reports and books), and a discussion of research gaps.  The complete, unannotated bibliography is included as an appendix. Note: An update to this bibliography was published in 2015 [see separate entry].
