Bibliographic information:

Alliance for Direct Action against Rape in Conflicts and Crises. 2006. Documenting Sexual Violence in Conflict: Data and Methods. An Annotated Bibliography. Geneva: Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces.

Abstract:

This bibliography reflects the background research undertaken to prepare a discussion paper on the difficulties of collecting data about and documenting acts of sexual violence that occur during conflict situations.  The aim of the research was to identify existing sources, institutions and methodologies relevant to this subject area.  The references are organized by documentation typeacademic papers, reports, UN documents, and bibliographies.  While many are annotated, not all are.  It would have been particularly helpful to the reader to ensure that abstracts were provided for the titles not available online in full-text.  The bibliography is provided in both HTML and PDF formats.  Over 130 references are included.
