Abstract:

Little is known about the nature and extent of trafficking in South Africa.  This report aims to address this knowledge deficit by reviewing South African research, gleaning lessons from international studies, and discussing difficulties with definitions and methodological issues that arise when researching trafficking.  The author does not describe a search methodology.  Over 50 references are cited.
