Abstract:

 

The terms selected relate to violent conflict in the context of international relief and development efforts. The glossary was compiled for aid workers involved in delivering humanitarian assistance, mitigating disasters, and managing the transition to longer-term sustainable development who require uniform language to apply to policy formulation and program implementation.  Citations are included for most definitions.
