Abstract:
The focus of this review is the long-term impact of complex humanitarian emergencies (CHEs) on children. The author begins with a discussion of the effects of malnutrition and trauma on children's cognitive, physical and psychological growth and development, and continues with a review of implications these effects have for health specialists.
