Abstract:

 

The authors looked at published literature, National HIV Strategic Plans (NSPs) and funding proposals for eight countries with large populations of internally displaced persons to better understand the incidence of HIV among IDPs.  The paper is organized as follows: Inclusion of IDPs in National Strategic Plans and Proposals; HIV/AIDS and IDP Country Profiles; Media Coverage of HIV and IDPs; and Essential Factors and Recommendations.  Eighty-eight references are listed.
