Abstract:

The aim of this first annual review is to contribute to an evidence base of literature relating to international emergency medicine. The hope is that such reviews will be undertaken on a regular basis.  The authors selected 10 articles published in 2005 that met pre-defined criteria.  Search and selection methods are described.  The resulting list of articles is presented in a separate online data supplement, with annotations and commentary.
