Abstract:

While the health needs of refugees and asylum seekers have been widely discussed in the research literature, few studies have systematically analyzed the effectiveness of health interventions for this population.  The author of the present study begins by describing a basic framework for primary care services that target refugees and asylum seekers.  She continues with a discussion of the relevant literature that served as the basis for developing the framework.  Sixty-two references are listed.
