This study begins with a review of research on refugee movements in sub-Saharan Africa.  It provides statistics on refugee populations and their host countries and discusses the root causes for refugee situations.  The second section provides an overview of the main trends and patterns of migrant labor flows in the region.  Fifty references are listed.
