Abstract:

The aim of this review is to summarize and characterize the literature relevant to the study of population displacement and resettlement.  The author begins with a discussion of the primary theories and concepts found in these studies.  In the next section, the author considers these analytical points in the context of displacement in the Arab world.  The article concludes with an assessment of the literature and research gaps that exist.  The author does not provide a description of the methodology or keywords used to locate relevant literature.  Some 140 references are listed.
