Abstract:

This resource begins with an historical overview of Palestinian displacement, provides facts and figures about current Palestinian refugees/IDPs and their status, reviews assistance and protection measures, and concludes with a discussion of attempts to find durable solutions for this longstanding displacement crisis. A glossary, statistical tables, and maps are included. To date, eight reports have been produced. The first edition was published in 2000 under the title "Palestinian Refugees in Exile, Country Profiles, 2000, " but is not available online. All other editions can be retrieved via Badil and ReliefWeb.
