Abstract:
This chapter reviews research that has been conducted on the region as a whole, and highlights predominant trends. It then looks at what has been written on both source countries, including Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka, and destination countries, particularly India and Pakistan. The review continues with an evaluation of the research conducted to date and highlights examples of innovative research methodologies. Twenty-four references are listed.
